Railway Safety
With the entry into force of Legislative Decree 162/2007, implementing Directives 2004/49/EC and 2004/51/EC relating to the safety and development of Community railways, each operator who uses the National Railway Infrastructure (IFN), currently managed by the Rete Ferroviaria Italiana Company, in the performance of its service, has the need to acquire a Safety Certificate (CdS) pursuant to the aforementioned legislation, issued by the National Agency for Railway Safety (ANSF).
Preliminary to the above is the adoption of a Safety Management System. Ferrovie del Gargano srl has been in possession, since 31.10.2008, of the CdS that allows it to perform passenger service between the towns of Termoli and Bari. The current enabling titles, issued in accordance with current legislation, are:
- Safety certificate – PART A – n. IT1120130008
- Safety certificate – PART B – n. IT2220130015
